For a lot of kids, science is a different language. Many students struggle to even say the words, let alone tell you what they mean. This session is designed to share a variety of vocabulary strategies one could use in a science classroom to make vocabulary more accessible to all learners. Each example comes directly from an activity or lesson I have done with my 7th-grade science classes over the years but could easily be used at any grade level. It is my hope that by the end of this lesson you will walk away with a variety of strategies ready to use in the upcoming school year.
